Lifelong Literacy Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Nicolas Drago, I am sophomore at ASU studying business (Law) who also doubles as a writing mentor for ASU’s writer’s studio, and this is my digital literacy narrative. I am someone who has not always had a wonderful time with literacy. I have had trials and tribulations, and at times, I have felt like giving up. I wanted to create this narrative to help current high school and college students who are struggling with their literacy journey currently, for those who have been told their work is inadequate, or who feel they will never progress in their journey. Making mistakes is ok, not immediately having a great essay or completely understanding a book is perfectly acceptable. It is about more what you do when mistakes occur, you have to pick yourself back up and keep trying, life would be much less fun without the progress. So, if you are in the developmental stage of high school or college and feel like giving up on literacy, take a look at my story and see that setbacks are a necessary part of the journey.
